Hope you enjoy it!  Carpe Diem!

1. An introduction and brief history to this wonderful island:

Gaios is the main town with a seaside location featuring stylish neoclassical buildings colored with faded ochre buildings.  It has Venetian architecture, a maze of side streets and a pedestrianised square on the seafront.

The island’s west coast is dominated by dramatic limestone cliffs and sea caves, the east consists of gentler hills and sparkling bays. The striking white of the cliffs means this coastline is gorgeous when seen from the sea, and many of the beaches have those large, flat, pale stones which make the water appear extra blue.   A visit to the island’s caves referred to the ‘the Blue Caves’ is highly recommended.

If you are a beach lover a visit to Paxos’s neighbour Antipaxos is a must and is famed for its two magnificent white-sand beaches Voutoumi and Vrika.
